The opening of the oldest highway in Switzerland is historic. As the brilliant kick-off of the (re)opening celebrations of the highway A 2/6, we put on a show behind, on and with the A2 between Kriens and Hergiswil. This extravaganza took place on and next to the 7 traffic lanes and included, among many others, road-divider gardener Benno Sonderegger, a Dutch married couple looking for the Gotthard tunnel, parading workers who once again shovel gravel onto the right place, a blonde Mini (Cooper) convoy, your friend and helper in times of emergency, Ducks (Deux Chevaux) and Ferraris on the prawl, with a fancy for each other's smooch zones, etc., etc.. Especially for this festive occasion, the traffic overture was hosted by the sharp-tongued commentator Andreas Thiel (winner of the "Golden Tuna" and the "Bull of Salzburg") and directed by Ueli Blum. The cast of nearly 120 entertained and inspired guests and spectators of the rolling traffic in a most humorous way and compelled them to pay attention and, in an unusual way, to encounter the traffic, to watch it, view it. Don't you wish you could have been there? A documentary and snap-shots allow you to re-visit the event.
