Central to the video work „Demarsch“ is a music composition, a contradictory piano piece from Volodymyr Huba, in which marching steps and slogan cries quarrel with harmonies and melodies. Pictures of parades, of a thickly clothed man and woman taking down a great length of fabric, people riding the escalator down to the subway station and up again, waiters at a banquet, theatregoers in the stairwell of the opera house, and again the tile patterns, follow upon one another on the horizontally divided monitor, slowed down below, accelerated to the same degree above.
